Your support and contributions make a difference in the lives of animal! Thank you so much for your generosity!
Some of you know and some of you don’t but our Founder Mags lived outside of Asheville in Woodfin, NC for a few years and met so many wonderful humans. Western North Carolina was home to her in so many beautiful ways. The news is not properly portraying the absolute devastation and destruction up there. Homes are gone, farms are gone, businesses are gone, dogs are being found 10 feet up in trees, entire families have been wiped out, the death toll you’re seeing are just people that have been identified—not body counts.
In the midst of this absolute tragedy, we are coming together. We are offering supplies, food, blankets, a hug—humanity. We NEED your help to fundraise.
Animals are wandering around, Sanctuaries and Rescues have been demolished—wiped clean off the map, farmers are wondering how they will keep their animals alive, stores are out of dog food, cat food, basic essentials, chicken feed, cat litter, crates and kennels. They need EVERYTHING. It’s all gone.
Mags and Brooke Owens of Owens Upholstery will be boots on the ground this coming Wednesday. We want to be there for our neighbors and our Alumni families. One person may not be able to make a dent, but all of us together can quite literally provide food security to those that barely made it out with their lives.
Help us pack the truck to the brim and then help us do it again, and again, and again, and again.
Now that we plan to make multiple trips we will be utilizing our Amazon Wishlist to accept deliveries of items that need to go to WNC. We also need actual funds so that we can afford the gas to get back and forth and buy immediate specialty needs as the requests come in.
Our setup point will be in Canton, NC at the Stockyard in partnership with Civilian Disaster Response Organization.
We are stronger together.
